Because that’s how it began—with friends. We were sitting around the fire like we had a hundred times before, trading the week’s stories and waiting for the flames to die down. And for a while, that night was no different.

“What if we made bread?”

The question came out of nowhere, and the rest of us looked at each other, puzzled. “Bread? Out here?”

Why not?” came the reply. “It’s just flour, water, yeast, and a little heat.”

So of course we gave it a shot—with no recipe to follow, no plan in mind, only curiosity and a bag of ingredients. What could possibly go wrong?

As it turned out, a lot. Our makeshift dough puffed in some places, sank in others, and burned more often than it cooked. Still, in the smoke and the mess, we found ourselves leaning closer, passing each piece from hand to hand, laughing harder than before. The bread wasn’t much, but the making of it was.

That night planted a seed: what if we could take the mess out but keep the fun in, so anyone could share the same joy we found around that fire?

From that question, Campfire Bread was born.
